InTown Suites Extended Stay Matthews NC - East Independence Blvd

So I just checked in for 30 days. I didn’t really have another place to go, I’m between houses at the moment. The woman at the check-in was wonderful and very kind. However, the room was a disaster. The bed is extremely old and uncomfortable. The floors have not been swept or mopped in probably months. The stove looks like it’s never been cleaned once. The room reeks of cigarette smoke. So far I haven’t seen any bugs, thankfully, but I’m amazed that I haven’t since the room was so filthy before I cleaned it myself. Yes, I went and bought a broom, mop, wipes, rags, and cleaning chemicals to clean it all myself. I was told that it was the only one available so I took it anyway. But if you have extra money, it’s worth spending it somewhere that will actually hire cleaners and housekeepers. UPDATE!!! The general manager of this location is one of the best people I’ve ever dealt with. Without me asking, he came and found me and offered to upgrade me to a renovated suite to remedy the issue. This renovated suite is extremely clean and modern and feels like a real home. He also gave me extra towels. It just goes to show that if you are booking with InTown Suites and they offer you a fully renovated room for slightly extra, PAY THE EXTRA. It will be totally worth it not having to deal with this experience. I am changing my review based on how the service desk handled this issue. Knocked it outta the park

I can only say nothing but good things about my extended Stay here at this hotel, initially I thought I would only be spending a week here however it’s turned into an extended stay and I’m grateful for the staff and the professionalism that I’ve received during the whole process. They have made me feel welcomed and appreciated. This location is in a good spot very quiet and safe. The manager here is so professional, and he will make sure you are satisfied with your stay.

Dre was great helping me secure a room in time of need during the hours of office being closed was very nice about it and help me in a time of need great place!!!

I stayed at this hotel for one week. Andre and Melissa was very polite and professional. I stayed in the room that been updated. The room was nice and clean. I didn't see no roaches in my room. This hotel is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The hotel has good lighting around the property that made me feel safe. This area has a amazing shopping and dining experience.

I booked a room for a month. I’ve been here a little over a week now. From checking in the service from the employee on site have been outstanding! Very warm and friendly demeanors from all I have interacted with. I wasn’t very happy with the first room I was shown but Dre and Tae at the front desk were the absolute bomb and helped me to get a better room that was still in my budget. They told me everything I needed to know and it was a smooth fast process. They let me look at 3 different rooms and gave me the opportunity to choose one to my liking. No this isn’t a five star hotel but the kindness and understanding they have shown was that of a hotel well above that caliber. Dre and Tae, thank you again for being awesome people and for making this tough and stressful time I’m working through more bearable. Price was good but compared to other hotels that offer long term I feel the rooms here still need work on updating and cleanliness. Also maybe more frequent pest control as I’ve had to dispose of a handful of roaches. Laundry onsite is nice. So far it’s been a nice and mostly quiet stay. Other guests seem to respect one another. This InTown Suites has great staff that are willing to help you find a room that works for you, even if it takes showing you four or five rooms! That being said, every room I saw smelled like smoke. If smoke is a dealbreaker, this may not be a great option. Kitchen area works well, but I have found a few bugs in my room after 3 days. Nothing major, just make sure your food is secure. Bathroom is nice with a good shower and the hotel provides two towels and two washcloths, which is great for a one person, short stay similar to my own. All in all, just make sure you visit before you book a room. You need to know what you are paying for.

Not a 5 five but it’s good for the pricing you can look at your room before you pay I love that ‼ I didn’t like the 1st but then I got to look at a 2nd one and it was good to my liking when I checked in I love the front service I forgot the guy name but he was very understanding and helpful I really appreciate that cause I know my attitude at times I been here for 2 days now and it has been okay great location I haven’t seen any roaches
